Why Energy?
We believe this is a great time to own producing oil and natural gas assets as well as conducting developmental drilling activities in our core areas of focus. The reason is the very basic principal of supply and demand. Recent world-wide economic instability has not affected the fact that the United States imports more oil than it produces and consumes on a daily basis. This means that every drop that can be produced domestically enhances the economic security of our country.
Further, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) projects that world marketed energy consumption may increase by 50% from 2005 to 2030. Developing countries like China and India will more than double their combined energy use over the next 25 years –– increasing their share of world energy use to one-quarter of total consumption.
On the supply side of the equation, worldwide production of fossil fuels is on the decline. It is estimated that 90% of oil produced today comes from fields more than 20 years old; 70% comes from fields more than 30 years old.
We believe that this increase in demand –– coupled with dwindling supply –– presents an attractive opportunity for profit potential.
